The Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids believes in the arts as a core community value, in the power of quality arts experiences to promote excellence, cross-cultural understanding, and strong community. The Arts Council invests all of its resources and energies to make the arts central to the life of everyone in our community.
Much like a ‘chamber of commerce for the arts’, the Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids uses grants, programs, services, advocacy, capacity-building exercises, speakers forums and networking opportunities to strengthen the arts and cultural organizations and raise the bar on excellence so that every member of the community can access quality arts and cultural experiences throughout his/her life.
